Guest Professor - Community Transformation & Local Church Evangelism

Josh May, MATS

Josh May will be teaching the course Community Transformation & Local Church Evangelism on March 30 - April 3, 2026.

Josh May earned his bachelor’s degree from Lee University. He also holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University. Josh is a student at Pentecostal Theological Seminary, working to obtain a ThM.

Josh and his wife, Kristyn serve as Lead Pastors of Vidalia Church of God, located in Vidalia, GA. They have served as lead pastors since 2012. Prior to that, Josh and Kristyn served in various ministry roles, including Associate Pastor, children, youth, music, and church planting.

Josh and Kirstyn have four children. Carrson is the oldest. He is twenty-one years old and works for a chemical plant. Aniston is the oldest daughter and is in her first year of college as a music major. Moriah is thirteen and loves to play guitar and sing, leading worship in Youth Service. Ella is the baby and is 12. She is the comedian of the family and keeps us very entertained.

I am very excited to be able to teach this course on Evangelism at BTU. Through the extensive study and preparation, I learned that I need this course as much as anyone. My prayer is that God will ignite in all of us a desire to evangelize and through this course give us the knowledge we need to execute God’s plan of redemption for everyone who believes. As C.H. Spurgeon put it, evangelism, “is one beggar telling another beggar where he found bread.”
